SwfModify - extract elements from SWF files
SWF files are widely used nowadays for creating websites or for making some really nice cartoons or clips. But suppose you find a great SWF file and you want to extract certain elements from it, to use them in your own site or your own cartoon clip. You can't do that without having the appropriate application. Programs like SwfModify can help you here, as the application allows extracting every element from a SWF file, no matter how small it is.
SwfModify is a Windows application and this can be noticed by simply looking at the installation wizard, which resembles a standard Windows installation process. Being a Windows application, it is as easy to use as other Windows programs, having a graphical interface. For making the program work, the user just needs to open the desired SWF file into the program and then go to the frame where he wants to have all the items extracted. After setting the position of the movie, clicking on the Modify Frame button will make the program analyze all the elements included in that specific frame. These items include graphical elements and also sound. Each of them can be saved as a new SWF file and can be used in any application that supports creating Flash movies.
A preview window is included in the interface, allowing the user to make sure that the imported SWF file is the right one. The program is virtually compatible with any type of SWF file, no matter what software was used to create it.
